Used it to go from HDMI on my laptop to a DVI input on my external monitor. This is a great quality product. Also used it to go from XBOX 360 to the same monitor.It works great, nice thick cable, so I'm sure the internal strands are thick, meaning it won't break (under normal wear and tear).
It was a fine cable that came in a plastic bag. If it had been bubble packed I'm sure it would have be $20.
Good product for the price. Good option to consider. Picture quality is not the best but good. I rather by this then separate converter and an hdmi cord.
There is no distortion in the picture. A similar cable at best buy was $30, making this an amazing value. I bought this cable to connect my samsung blu-Ray (hdmi) to my Sony rear projection HDTV (dvi). I am very happy with my purchase.
